சுசித்ரா (பி. 1987)

சொந்த ஊர் மதுரை. அறிவியலில் பட்டமேற்படிப்பு. புனைவாசிரியர். ‘ஒளி’ சிறுகதைத் தொகுப்பு 2019-ல் வெளியானது. நீலி, அகழ் உள்ளிட்ட இதழ்களில் எழுதி வருகிறார். மொழிபெயர்ப்பாளர். மொழிபெயர்ப்புக்காக விருது பெற்றவர். ‘மொழி’ என்ற அமைப்பின் இணை நிறுவனர். தற்போது பெங்களூரில் வசிக்கிறார்.

Suchitra Ramachandran writes fiction in Tamil and translates between Tamil and English. Her work has appeared in literary magazines including Asymptote, Usawa, South Parade and Narrative Magazine. She won the Asymptote Close Approximations Prize for Fiction Translation in 2017. The Abyss, her translation of Jeyamohan’s Tamil novel Ezhaam Ulagam, was a finalist for the ALTA First Translation Prize 2024. She is the co-founder of a translation-focussed literary venture called Mozhi. Suchitra lives in Bengaluru, India.

Suchitra was also a neuroscience researcher, first at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA, and subsequently at the Friedrich Miescher Institute, Basel, Switzerland. Academic publications § PhD thesis in three minutes
